Dive mornings for the certified (and lessons for the soon-to-be), snorkeling, beach and pool time, spa afternoons, long dinners, and absolutely nothing if that's the plan. Optional excursions go from sunset cruises and bonefishing to Landfall Park — where Columbus first stepped ashore in 1492. We'll be coordinating informal meetups through the week — join what sounds fun, skip what doesn't.

Is this a typical group trip?

It's the same easy format as our Club Med Cancún week: a “come join us at the resort” trip. You book your own room with us, everyone travels the same dates (with the Miami flight bundled in), and the week fills with informal meetups — shared dinners, dive-boat mornings, a group excursion if the crew leans in. Flexible, social when you want it, quiet when you don't.

How does the flight work?

Your package includes roundtrip air from Miami (MIA) to San Salvador (ZSA). You get yourself to Miami — we're happy to help with routing from your home airport — and the rest is handled: the island airport is five minutes from the village, transfers included.

I'm a certified diver — what should I know?

Bring your certification card and logbook. The on-site dive center is a PADI 5-Star operation running two-tank mornings, afternoon dives, and weekly night dives from dive catamarans — with nitrox available, and a hyperbaric chamber and dive doctor right on the island. San Salvador's signature is wall diving: vertical drop-offs in protected marine-reserve waters, roughly 30 marked sites, turtles, rays, reef sharks, and visibility you have to see to believe. Dive packages are priced separately, and we coordinate yours before you go so you step off the plane ready to step onto the boat.

I'm not certified — can I still dive?

Yes — this is a great trip to get certified. The on-site center teaches PADI Open Water and beyond (ages 10+). Tell us early and we'll map the right path; many travelers start their coursework at home so vacation time goes to actual diving. Prefer to stay at the surface? The snorkeling is spectacular, and it's included — lessons too.

What does “all-inclusive” cover at Columbus Isle?

All meals at the village's two restaurants — The Christopher's and the beachfront La Pinta — plus four bars with open bar and snacking. Is Columbus Isle really that quiet?

Yes — it's the most secluded Club Med we know, and that's exactly why we love it. Small village, remote island, no crowds, no noise. It's not adults-only — kids are welcome and there's a teens club for 11–17 — but with no kids' club below 11 it naturally skews adult and serene. If you're after big-resort energy and a packed family calendar, our Club Med Cancún week is the better fit — this one is for disconnecting.

What's the Club Med membership fee?

Club Med charges a one-time membership fee of $60 per adult / $30 per child, required for all bookings and not included in the package price.
