The Trip

The most laid-back week in Antigua.

The week after Thanksgiving, an adults-only week in Antigua — set up and handled end to end. Seven all-inclusive nights at Pineapple Beach Club, set across 30 beachfront acres above a quarter-mile of white sand and some of the most brilliant turquoise water in the Caribbean. It calls itself Antigua's *most laid-back all-inclusive*, and it earns it: casual, relaxed, unhurried, and adults-only (16+).

Everything's included — five restaurants from beachfront buffets to à-la-carte Italian at Chef Pietro's and the famous Outhouse BBQ, lighter all-day fare at the Pelican grill, afternoon tea, and three bars pouring signature blended cocktails. Two freshwater pools, a fitness center, and a full calendar of beach and water activities round out the days. Famous for friendly staff, an unbeatable beach, and easy island atmosphere — it's built for couples, friends, and groups who want sun, value, and zero fuss.

Players, take note: six pickleball courts on-property, plus two tennis courts, beach volleyball, and free non-motorized watersports — Hobie-cat sailing, paddleboards, kayaks, windsurfing, and pedal boats. Off-resort, there are nature walks to Devil's Bridge National Park, island safaris, and catamaran cruises whenever you feel like exploring.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Is this adults-only?

Yes — Pineapple Beach Club is adults-only, 16 and over. It's built for couples, friends, and groups who want a calm, grown-up Caribbean week.

What's the pickleball setup?

Six dedicated pickleball courts on-property, plus two hard-surface tennis courts and beach volleyball. Bring a paddle or borrow one — we'll organize pickup games through the week.

How do air and transfers work?

Antigua (ANU) has direct service from Newark — figure about $1,150/person round-trip. We'll book your air at the going fare, or you can book your own, and we'll arrange roundtrip airport transfers (the resort is ~30–40 minutes from ANU).

What does all-inclusive cover here?

All meals across the resort's five restaurants, afternoon tea, snacks, and unlimited drinks at three bars — signature blended cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks. Plus free non-motorized watersports, pickleball, tennis, fitness classes, and nightly entertainment. Taxes and gratuities are included. (Restaurants open for dinner on a rotating basis — typically at least two each night, all of them across the week.)

Is there a dress code?

Beach casual by day (covered, dry swimwear away from the pool; shoes on). After 6:30 pm, a *resort-casual* code applies for dinner — long pants and collared shirts for men at the à-la-carte restaurants, and dresses, skirts, or long pants for women. No short-shorts, ripped jeans, or flip-flops at dinner.

Why book through Sun Sand Slope?

You get a team that knows the property, a set week you can build a trip around, and advisor support before and during the trip — at the same rate you'd pay on your own. You pay nothing extra for the curation.

Single occupancy?

Solo travelers are very welcome — it's that kind of resort. The solo rate runs about $3,310 vs ~$2,050/person when two share. Contact us for exact pricing, and we can help match a roommate if you'd prefer the double rate.

Hurricane risk in December?

Atlantic hurricane season officially ends November 30, so early December sits outside the storm window. We still strongly recommend travel insurance — weather is one of many things it covers.

What if these dates don't work?

We picked this week, but the resort runs all year. If Dec 5–12 doesn't line up for you, just say so — we'll book you the same resort another week, with the same easy handling.
