Staff and guests were equals — they ate together, played together, danced together. Club Med didn’t just popularize the all-inclusive concept. They invented it.
After 30+ years of living that philosophy, we built Sun Sand Slope around it. Play · Rest · Vibe isn’t a marketing tagline — it literally came from the Club Med experience.

The Club Med Culture

Crazy Signs & The 45
Crazy Signs
Multiple times a day, G.O.s lead choreographed dances that the entire village joins. It sounds ridiculous. It is ridiculous. And it’s one of the most genuinely joyful things you’ll ever experience on vacation.
Rooted in Club Med’s founding spirit from the 1950s, Crazy Signs are community in motion. The most iconic song? “Hands Up” by Ottawan (1980) — if you know, you know.
Everyone joins — families, solo travelers, first-timers who swore they’d never dance. By day three, you’re in the front row. This is pure Vibe — the feeling that makes Club Med different from every other resort on earth.
The 45
In 1995, Club Med released a T-shirt for their 45th anniversary. It was supposed to be a one-time thing. Instead, it became a cultural icon.
Thirty years later, every village still makes their own version. Returning G.M.s wear their old 45 shirts, buy new ones, collect them. Sunday is typically “Jeans & 45” night — the whole village shows up in theirs.
It’s a tribal belonging signal. If you’re wearing a 45 at the airport, someone will find you. If you know, you know.
Theme Nights
Every Club Med village runs nightly dress themes — totally voluntary, widely embraced. On White Night? 80–90% of the village shows up in white. It turns dinner into an event and strangers into friends.
Themes vary by village and are set by the Chief of Village. Check the Club Med app before your trip for the exact schedule.
Pack black, white, something red, and something bright — you’re covered for the entire week. Theme nights actually make packing easier, not harder. White Night is the standout — gala dinner, everyone in white, spectacular.
