The Trip
Uncommon charms on the Spanish Water.
Early December, an adults-only week in Curaçao — set up and handled end to end. Seven all-inclusive nights at Sandals Royal Curaçao, the newest resort in the Sandals family, set on the calm, protected Spanish Water bay with the desert hills of Tafelberg behind it. Sandals built this one for couples: quiet coves, fire pits, a two-level infinity pool that dissolves into the horizon, and a beach sheltered by a floating pier where the snorkeling starts at your toes.
Everything's in: eight specialty restaurants — a prime steakhouse, Latin American, shoreline seafood, sushi, Italian, Mediterranean — plus three beachside food trucks, 13 bars including a swim-up bar, top-shelf spirits and Robert Mondavi wines, a stocked in-room minibar, and round-trip airport transfers. Certified diver? PADI scuba is included, on some of the Caribbean's best reefs. Not a diver? Kayaks, Hobie Cats, paddleboards, snorkeling, pickleball, and a Dutch bike to roam the grounds.
Curaçao itself is the other half: a UNESCO-listed Dutch-colonial capital in Willemstad, cactus-studded coves, flamingo lagoons, and water as blue as the liqueur the island is named for. Rent a car for a day, or let us book a Klein Curaçao catamaran or Shete Boka day through the resort — the island is small, safe, and outside the hurricane belt.

Eight restaurants, three food trucks, 13 bars — Butch's Island Chop House for prime steaks, Zuka for Latin American, Strand for shoreline seafood, Kanaal for Dutch coffee and cheese — plus sushi, Italian, and Mediterranean. Top-shelf spirits and Robert Mondavi wines poured everywhere.
Transfers in the price — Round-trip airport transfers between Curaçao (CUR) and the resort are included — about 16 miles, a scenic half-hour — no matter which room you book.

Fly into Curaçao (CUR) — JetBlue runs a nonstop from JFK, about four and a half hours. Sandals meets you at the airport; the transfer to the resort is included and takes about half an hour. Check in, find the swim-up bar, and let the week start.

Six all-inclusive Curaçao days
Beach and pool mornings, scuba or snorkeling off the pier, pickleball before lunch, the dining rotation at night. Off-resort when you feel like it: Willemstad's UNESCO waterfront, a Klein Curaçao catamaran day, Shete Boka's blowholes — all optional, all bookable through the resort. Booking with friends? We'll coordinate the group; otherwise the days are yours.

Is this couples-only?
Sandals Royal Curaçao is adults-only and, in Sandals' own words, *specifically designed for couples*. The from price is for two sharing a room. Traveling solo or with a friend? Say so on the form — we'll quote it, and we'll be straight with you about what the resort does and doesn't do for one.
Why isn't airfare in the price?
Airlines publish schedules roughly 11 months ahead, so December 2027 flights don't exist to price yet. When they open (early 2027), we'll quote your air from home — JetBlue flies nonstop from JFK in about four and a half hours; from Newark it's typically one stop — or you can book your own and we'll match the transfer to your arrival.
How do the hold and deposit work?
In Sandals' own words: if you need to think about it, they'll hold the room for you. A minimum $98 hold keeps your room and rate for 21 days. To keep holding it past 21 days, Sandals needs a $400 minimum deposit — put down less than $400 up front and they charge the same card the difference 21 days after you book. The balance is due October 5, 2027, and under Sandals' terms the booking is refundable if you cancel before October 19, 2027. We send Sandals' full terms with your quote, and those terms control. It's the easiest way to lock the promotional rate while air firms up.
Is the price a promotion?
Yes — it reflects Sandals' current promotional pricing, including $1,100 in instant credits, on the lowest room category available when we priced it. Sandals can change or withdraw a promotion at any time, which is exactly what the $98 hold protects against. Your exact price is confirmed at booking.
What does all-inclusive cover here?
All meals and snacks across the eight restaurants and three food trucks, bottomless top-shelf spirits and Mondavi wines at 13 bars, your in-room minibar, PADI scuba for certified divers, non-motorized watersports, land sports, the gym, entertainment, Wi-Fi, taxes, gratuities, and airport transfers. Spa treatments, private cabanas, candlelight dinners, and off-resort excursions are extra.
I'm not a certified diver — can I still dive?
Yes. Sandals runs a beginner resort course and PADI certification on-property (fees apply); certified divers dive as part of the all-inclusive — bring your cert card. The snorkeling off the pier is excellent for everyone else.
How do we get there and around?
Fly into Curaçao (CUR). The resort is about 16 miles from the airport and Sandals' round-trip transfer is included. Curaçao is small and easy to drive — rent a car for a day, book an Island Routes tour through the resort, or upgrade to a butler suite and the Island Inclusive Program hands you a MINI Cooper.
Hurricane risk in December?
Low on two counts: Atlantic hurricane season ends November 30, and Curaçao sits in the southern Caribbean, outside the hurricane belt, with year-round trade winds and very little rain. We still strongly recommend travel insurance — weather is one of many things it covers.
